Writing Your Own Post-Grad Success Story

Instead of excitement, many soon-to-be graduates are filled with anxiety. Why? Because despite a degree, strong grades and internship experience, a job is rarely guaranteed. A rising number of students in universities, colleges and vocational institutions are left unemployed even after six months out of school.

As golden opportunities become more elusive, paying off student loan debt feels next to impossible. How can you lead a life that’s both fulfilling and financially secure?

The answer is simple: create your own opportunities.

That’s the story of Luxurious Lathers, Ltd.! While on vacation, Roy and Tijuana Smith stopped inside a shop selling handmade soaps.  After purchasing a few items, they headed back to the resort to test them out. It was love at first lather! In fact, they returned to the shop and purchased souvenirs for their friends and family. The gifts were such a hit that the Smiths decided to set up a business of their own in Hinsdale, IL.

Already juggling an accounting firm and real estate company, Roy and Tijuana knew they’d have their work cut out for them. They enlisted the help of their daughter, Genesis, who was an undergrad student at the time. But Genesis had other plans. Eager to break into the corporate world, she decided to pursue her own goals. Feeling like she wasn’t being challenged enough at work, she asked her boss for more responsibility. The bad news? She was let go a few days later when her supervisor said the company was unable to accommodate her drive. The good news? Luxurious Lathers was back on!

Genesis took her parents’ vision and ran with it, doing everything she could to make the new business a success. Like any budding entrepreneur, she knew the importance of passion. Whether it’s a hobby or the spark of an idea, passion is what transforms “I want to do it,” into “I did it!” For Genesis, that passion was helping others treat their skin conditions. She dealt with acne firsthand and had family members who struggled with Psoriasis and Eczema. Frustrated with expensive products that only exasperated the problem, she vowed to create the affordable, effective solutions the industry lacked.

Since their launch in 2015, Luxurious Lathers has become synonymous with premium skincare! With Genesis as CEO, their motto, “We Searched the Globe So You Wouldn’t Have To,” truly comes to life. Safe ingredients, rich oils and one-of-a-kind designs give both men and women the ability to feel confident in their skin. With handmade, heavily researched formulas, they wrap noticeable results and dedicated care into one. And while their products can make you feel like royalty, you won’t have to pay a king’s ransom. Luxurious Lathers offers effective, affordable products, allowing everyone to love their skin!

So, what are you waiting for? Take a page from Genesis’ book and follow your inner fire! Life may not turn out the way you expect, but that just means something better is in store. Whatever your passion, creating a golden opportunity is much better than waiting for one.
